Camp Neckerchiefs

The history of Royaneh is rich with the different neckerchiefs that have been worn around the necks of scouts and scouters.

You will notice that some of the neckerchiefs say C.C. Moore on them, In 1938 the name of Royaneh was changed to Camp C.C. Moore in honor of Charles Moore who had been President of the San Francisco Boy Scout Council. The Royaneh name did not disappear but was used as a general term for all of the camps within the San Francisco Council (The Royaneh Camps).   The Camp Royaneh name returned in 1949-50 when Oscar Alverson became the new scout executive.
